The FLOGVIT vision

FLOGVIT.photosuite is one desktop app for the professional photo workflow — built from scratch for speed and quality, module by module.

Our own code

FLOGVIT.photosuite is written from scratch. Nothing in it is decompiled or copied from another program, and that includes the RAW decoders: every camera format is read with code we wrote ourselves.

We learn a file format from its published specification (DNG, TIFF, EXIF, XMP) and from published descriptions of it, and check our reading against the files and what cameras and other programs make of them. We have never taken another program apart to see how it works.

Like most software, the app builds on open-source libraries for things like windows, the GPU and JPEG files, and uses open AI models for masks and noise reduction. They are used under their own licences, and every licence text is in the app, under About FLOGVIT.photosuite.

Based in Norway

FLOGVIT is a Norwegian company, and your data is handled under European privacy law. We don’t sell data and we don’t track usage. The software runs on your own machine. It goes on the internet to check your licence and look for updates when it starts and once a day, to download a model the first time a feature needs it, for map tiles while the map is open, and to send what you ask it to send: uploads, publishing and feedback. Features that use an outside AI service stay off until you turn them on.
