FTP Upload
FLOGVIT.culling includes built-in FTP/FTPS/SFTP upload for press and event photographers who need to deliver images fast.
Quick Upload
Press U to upload the current image to your default upload profile. The upload runs in the background — you can continue culling immediately.
Upload Profiles
Set up named profiles for different destinations in Settings → Upload Profiles.
Each profile includes:
- Name: E.g., "VG", "Aftenposten", "Client FTP"
- Protocol: FTP, FTPS, or SFTP
- Host: Server address
- Port: Connection port
- Username and Password
- Remote path: Destination directory on the server
Setting Up a Profile
- Open Settings (Cmd+,)
- Go to the Upload Profiles tab
- Click Add Profile
- Fill in the connection details
- Click Save
Upload Tracking
FLOGVIT.culling tracks which images have been uploaded per session, preventing duplicate uploads. The upload count appears in the info bar.
Supported Protocols
- FTP — No encryption, port 21
- FTPS — TLS/SSL encryption, port 990
- SFTP — SSH encryption, port 22
Press Workflow
A typical press workflow:
- Import from card
- Quick cull — rate your selects
- Filter to picks
- Press U on each image to send
- Continue culling while uploads happen in the background
Upload profiles are stored in ~/.config/flogvit/upload_profiles.json.
