Multi-Monitor
FLOGVIT.culling is built for photographers who use multiple screens. Pop out panels, run dual fullscreen, or use a secondary display as a light table.
Pop-Out Panels
Any panel can be detached and moved to a separate monitor:
- Info sidebar — Drag it to your secondary screen for a permanent metadata view
- Filmstrip — Pop out for a large thumbnail strip on another display
- Histogram — Keep it visible while working fullscreen
Right-click any panel header and select Pop Out to detach it. Drag it to your preferred monitor. Panel positions are remembered between sessions.
Dual-Monitor Fullscreen
The most powerful multi-monitor feature: run different views on each screen simultaneously.
- Screen 1: Grid view for overview and selection
- Screen 2: Full-resolution preview of the selected image
As you navigate in the grid on screen 1, the preview on screen 2 updates instantly. This gives you the best of both worlds — overview and detail at the same time.
Setting Up
- Go to View → Dual Monitor
- Choose which screen gets the grid and which gets the preview
- Both screens enter fullscreen mode
Press Escape to exit dual-monitor mode.
Light Table
Use a secondary screen as a light table — a large surface to spread out and compare images:
- Select the images you want to compare
- Go to View → Light Table on External
- The selected images appear on your secondary screen
Drag images around on the light table to arrange them. Rate and flag directly from the light table view.
Second Preview Window
Press Option+W to open a second preview window. This is a lighter alternative to full dual-monitor mode — just an extra window you can position anywhere.
The second preview window always shows the currently selected image at full resolution.
Window Management
FLOGVIT.culling includes built-in window management:
- Tile — Arrange windows side by side
- Fill — Expand window to fill the screen
- Center — Center and resize to a default size
- Move to Screen — Quickly move a window between monitors
Access these from the Window menu or use the keyboard shortcuts.
Tab Toggle
Press Tab to hide all panels at once — sidebar, filmstrip, folder tree — leaving just the image. Press Tab again to bring them back. This works in both single and dual-monitor modes.
