What’s New
What changed in each version of the app, newest first.
The app shows the same list under Help → What’s New…, and says what is new when an update is ready.
Version 0.1.3226#
Fujifilm X-Trans in its own colours
New features
- **Feather** and **Shift edge** on a mask found in the picture or painted with the brush, as on Lightroom's AI masks: soften its edge so an edit no longer ends in a hard line, and move the edge in or out. Masks
- **Your marks and edits on all your computers**: with FLOGVIT.plus, the stars, flags, labels, develop, crop and IPTC you change on one computer reach your others, through photosuite's site. The last change to each wins, and the earlier ones are kept. **Settings → General → Keep marks and edits in step with my other devices**. Settings
- **Albums and folders on your other devices**: right-click one in the Library view and tick **Available on My Devices**, and previews of its pictures — as you developed them — go to photosuite's site with FLOGVIT.plus, for your phone and other computers to browse. Nothing goes there unless you choose it. On your other devices
- **Albums and saved searches on all your computers**: with FLOGVIT.plus, an album or saved search you make, change or delete on one computer is the same on your others, in the same collection set, with each computer's own copy of the pictures. Where an album is published stays on the computer it was set up on, so two computers never publish the same album. Settings

- **Auto** brightens a swimmer's face in a dim pool hall further: Lift now goes up to its full range where a face sits darker than skin should.
- **What's New** no longer has to open by itself after every update: untick **Show What's New after an update** in it, or in **Settings → General**, which also opens it. While it is off, the versions since you last looked are still marked new when you open it. Updates
- The red line along a mask's edge while you edit it can be turned off: **Show the edge while editing**, beside **Show what it covers**. Both are in the Develop menu too (**Mask Overlay**, **Mask Edge**), with a key each. Masks
Bug fixes
- **Tag People** wrote a caption for several people in Norwegian («F.v. Ola og Kari») whatever language the app was in. It is in the app's language now: «From left: Ola and Kari». Names from the phone
- photosuite could crash as it closed, after it had saved your work: macOS's Touch Bar code tripped over itself while the windows went away. photosuite has nothing in the Touch Bar, so it now stays out of it.
- **Fujifilm X-Trans raws develop in their own colours.** The 6×6 mosaic of most Fujifilm X cameras (X-T30, X-T5, X-H2, X100V and others) was read as if it were an ordinary 2×2 one, which mixed the colours into a purple, nearly grey picture in Develop, RAW culling and exports from the raw. The camera looks for these bodies are learned again from the right colours. File formats
- A live meet's crop cut the swimmer's head in half and left the body and the splash in front out: it framed only the part of the swimmer at the camera's focus point. It now takes all of the swimmer the camera focused on — the head, the arms, the shoulders under the water and the splash in front — places it by the rules of composition with room around it, and never crops smaller than an A4 print. A meet shown live
- Some faces were never found, such as a swimmer in goggles with the head back or a freestyler turned to breathe: photosuite asked one of Vision's two face searches, and each finds faces the other misses. It asks both now, so **Auto** brings those faces up, auto-crop frames them, and the closed-eyes check sees them.
- Pictures from DxO PureRAW got no **Auto** in a workflow's Develop step, a live meet's too: DxO writes Lightroom's default settings into each DNG, and photosuite took them for your own edit. A picture nobody has set the light on now gets Auto, and keeps the profile it carries. A meet shown live
- Auto-crop failed on every picture on a computer where the detection model had never been downloaded, and a workflow sent each one to its failed folder uncropped. The default model now comes with the app.
Version 0.1.3111#
Lightroom's vignette where Lightroom draws it
New features
- **What a workflow did to each picture**: every step now says what it did — the crop and what it framed, the develop values, the numbers read and the names given, the file sent and where it went — and the records of the last 5 000 pictures are kept. A script or a Claude session reads them with `GET /api/workflow/files` or follows them as they happen, and the watcher's Claude judges from them. Watch a running workflow
- **A workflow's pictures over the API**: the picture that went out, or the one that came in, for any picture a workflow finished, and one contact sheet of the last deliveries with each one's id under it, so a script or a Claude session sees what the desk gets. Watch a running workflow
- **Steer a running workflow**: pause it while you fix it (pictures keep arriving and wait), run one picture again with a different crop, exposure, numbers or caption, and hold a picture back from its albums and delivery folder until you release it. **Deliver → Pause Workflow**, the info bar, **Settings → Workflow**, and the API. Steer a running workflow
- **Claude can drive photosuite**: the app speaks MCP on `/mcp`, so Claude Code and Claude Desktop connect with one command and can do everything the API can, with tools that only read kept apart from those that change or delete, and pictures coming back as pictures. Claude over MCP
- **Let Claude watch a delivery**: `follow-workflow.ts` in the script collection wakes a Claude Code session once per batch of finished pictures; it looks at them, holds back a wrong one and runs it again with a better crop or exposure. How to set it up, what it may do and what it costs. Let Claude watch a delivery
- **Let Claude approve each picture**: an Approve step shows Claude each picture before it goes out, beside the frame it was cut from, against your criteria; a picture it fails is held back with its reason, delivered marked, or run again with the crop Claude proposes. A delivery never waits for Claude. Let Claude approve each picture
- **Corrections teach the next run**: a picture run again with another crop or exposure, or held back, is kept as a correction; a corrected crop is one auto-crop learns from, and the exposure corrections move where the develop shape aims. Listed under Corrections in the Library, where they can be taken away. Steer a running workflow
- **A report of each workflow run**: what arrived and went out (and where), what was held back, run again or failed, the time from arrival to done, what the watcher found, and notes a Claude session wrote into it; in Settings → Workflow, as HTML in the work folder when the run stops, and over the API. Steer a running workflow
- **The watcher looks at the pictures**: at each check Claude sees a contact sheet of what was delivered since the last one, judges it as an editor would, and a finding about a picture opens it from the info bar. The current Claude models and prices. Watch a running workflow
- **See what is in the target album**: a picture in the album <Key>Shift</Key>+<Key>B</Key> fills carries a bookmark in the grid, the filmstrip and Survey, and the album's name on the picture in Develop and fullscreen, whatever folder is open; with the album published, where it stands there too. The filter menu shows only the pictures in it, or only those not in it, so a pass over a card leaves only what is still to pick. A raw from the card counts as in the album when the album holds the same shot in another file, such as the DxO DNG a live delivery sent out. Library
- **Publish To** in the picture's menu: every published album, under where it goes (your gallery, eventphotos, SmugMug, Flickr, folders) and with what its sync is doing; the selected pictures go in and out with the next sync, so a set finished for Flickr goes to SmugMug with one more click. The info bar's target menu lists the same albums first, so <Key>Shift</Key>+<Key>B</Key> can be pointed at a destination in one step. Publishing
- **From the card to the desk**: put the card in and cull, and every picture you pick goes to the newspaper's server as a JPEG developed from the raw, with your by-line, credit, the event and a caption in it. `card-to-desk.ts` in the script collection sets it up, or a few settings in the app do. A new group in the documentation, Whole jobs, tells it start to finish. From the Card to the Desk
- **A folder of its own**: `--dir <folder>` runs photosuite in one folder that holds all it keeps — settings, library, albums, log — and reaches nothing outside it; to the API, `/` is that folder. Several run side by side on one machine, one per event or customer, each on its own port, and a script calls `requireRoot()` to be sure where `/delivery` is. A folder of its own
Polish
- + People's body skin takes the neck beside a turned head, which went into face skin, and face skin takes the ears the beard model finds. People
- + People's entire person follows the person's own edge more closely — hair tips, sleeves, a dark trouser leg — with a new person edge model (490 MB, downloaded with the people models). People
- + People's body skin no longer runs onto clothes in shadow, such as jeans under clasped hands or the edge of a sleeve. People
- + Object over a head takes the head without the ponytail hanging behind the neck. Objects
- A script's import (`POST /api/import`) takes the IPTC template by name, as the import dialog does.
- A mask's red wash makes way the moment one of its sliders moves, so you see what the slider does, and the mask's edge stays on the picture as a thin red line; choose the mask again to bring the wash back. Masks
- Every mask carries a small picture of what it covers, white on dark, in the mask list and on its chip at the top of Develop, as in Lightroom. Masks
- While + Subject, + Sky, + People or another mask is being found in the picture, the top of the Develop panel says so and counts the seconds, and the buttons for another search wait until it is in. Masks
- The node graph has a switch of its own with an icon at the top of Develop, and **Develop → Node Graph** in the menu bar. The graph
Bug fixes
- A crop or tone set in eventphotos' own editor was lost the next time the picture changed in photosuite: the sync sent photosuite's version over it without a word. photosuite now takes the edit made there into the picture before it sends a new version, and the album's line in the Published section says how many were taken in. Publishing
- A raw from the card put in an album that already held its DxO DNG went in beside it, and the album's sync sent the same picture out a second time: twice for the readers, and for sale twice. It is left out now, with a word on which file is there, and **Replace** in the picture's menu puts it in the DNG's place and sends it over the same photo. A workflow that gets a camera's JPEG and raw of one shot puts only the first in the album. Library
- A post-crop vignette darkened far more of the picture than the same sliders do in Lightroom: Midpoint 0 with Roundness −100 blacked out nearly the whole frame where Lightroom draws a thin rounded border. Midpoint, Feather, Roundness and Amount now follow Lightroom's own previews, fitted over thousands of pictures with a vignette; at the frame's edges they come about twice as close. A vignette set in photosuite changes with it. Develop
- A Lightroom mask with a Color Range came in without its colour, so its correction landed on the whole mask. The picked colours and Refine are read now; on the pictures checked against Lightroom it comes up to 4.5 ΔE closer. Coming from Lightroom
- **Auto** washed out people against a bright window: it raised the exposure by two to three stops, skin went orange and the room went white. Highlights pulled the brightest part down as the exposure pushed it up, and the exposure kept chasing it. Auto now brightens no more than the picture's own brightest part asks for, and a face that is already well exposed stays as it is. Nor do glints on the water take a swimming picture dark any more: Auto brings the exposure down no further than mid grey. Back to as shot
- A Sony raw shot at 1:1, 4:3 or 16:9 came up in that frame and then turned into the whole 3:2 sensor once the raw was developed. The raw now develops the frame the camera was set to, as its own JPEG shows it, and a Lightroom crop of such a picture lands where Lightroom put it.
- RAWs shot below the camera's base ISO (ISO LOW or L) on the Olympus E-M1 Mark II and Mark III, E-M5 Mark III, E-M10 Mark III and Mark IV and E-PL9, the OM System OM-1, OM-5 and PEN, and the Fujifilm X-T2, X100F and X-M5 came out a stop or more too bright. They develop at the camera's own exposure now.
- Culling on the camera's JPEG could stop for up to a minute in a folder of A7 III, A7R II–IV or A9 raws: their preview is smaller than the screen, and developing them in its place held up the pictures after them. The develops now run on their own on the graphics card, the picture on screen first, and stepping never waits for them.
- A damaged raw could crash photosuite: an ARW whose strip lengths pointed outside the file, or a DNG with an impossible picture area. Such a file is now refused with a message, like any other file photosuite cannot read.
- **Apply IPTC** on an upload writes the template into the JPEG itself, where a desk's system reads it. It went as a separate `.xmp` beside the picture, saying it had no rating and no pick. Upload destinations
- A template's caption goes in once: one applied at import and again on the upload put it in twice, glued on without a space. Two captions now get a space between them. IPTC Templates
- Opening or closing RECENT, VOLUMES or UPLOADS in the folder tree from a script took effect only at the next start.
Version 0.1.3013#
photosuite in your language
New features
- **Settings → Appearance → Language**: the app speaks English, Norsk bokmål, Norsk nynorsk, Svenska, Français, Español, Suomi and Deutsch — menus, panels, dialogs, messages and What's New, which shows each version in your language once it is translated. It follows the system's language unless you choose one, and changes at once. Settings
- **Without a window**: `--headless` runs photosuite with no window and no Dock icon, driven only through the API and the SDK, for a machine that only delivers. It is the whole app, developing on the graphics card, and screenshots work. Running without a window
- **Auto-crop follows the rules of composition**: around its suggestion it lets thirds, lead room, leading lines, symmetry, the edges and more than twenty other rules choose, weighed by your own crops. The crop tool says which rules a crop follows, and shows a rule's guide on a click. The rules of composition
- **The rest of Lightroom's develop tools**: a **Global** wheel in Colour Grading, split points on the tone curve, and **Style** and **Highlights** on the vignette. Lightroom's settings for them come along with a picture instead of being left out. Develop
- **Lightroom's creative profiles come along whole**: a picture with B&W, Modern, Vintage or Artistic gets the profile's colour tables at its Amount, not only its sliders, read from your own Lightroom or Camera Raw. Coming from Lightroom
Polish
- Panels, dialogs and the info bar make room for longer words: a field's hint ends in an ellipsis rather than being cut, tabs and filter columns take a second row, and a narrow info bar shows two filter chips and folds the rest into one.
- + People's facial hair comes from a new beard model (330 MB, downloaded with the people model), which finds a beard where it ends, a pale beard in a bright face too, and leaves face skin round it. People
- Dragging a slider in Develop on a large RAW draws at half size while you drag, when half still fills the screen, and in full the moment you stop.
- **Auto** keeps colour: Blacks only deepen, so a picture is not greyed; exposure backs off before a yellow flower or pool water burns in one channel and goes pale; and a white sky or wall is brought back with Highlights. Back to as shot
- + People's body skin takes in the neck. People
- + Object finds the whole thing when your stroke is narrower than it: a stroke down a person's back takes the person, not a strip. Objects
Bug fixes
- The handles of a mask in Develop were drawn on top of Settings and the other dialogs.
- On a Mac, the open and save panels and the menu items macOS adds itself follow the language you choose, from the next start.
- A picture developed over its Lightroom settings said Lightroom had changed them after every update that added a develop tool. This update is the last time it does.
- A blown sky in a compressed Sony RAW came out pink under a look, and its highlights were never rebuilt; the same for clipped highlights in some Canon, Olympus, Fujifilm, Pentax and phone RAWs. They are taken for clipped where the sensor stopped, and come out white as in the camera's JPEG.
- A Minolta DiMAGE 5, 7, 7i or 7Hi RAW developed at about a sixteenth of its brightness.
- Nikon Small RAWs and the D100's uncompressed NEFs opened only as the camera's preview. Develop works on their sensor data now.
- Older Nikons (D1, D1H, D1X, D2H, D2X, D50, D70, D70s and D100) developed with a teal or green cast. They read the white balance they state now.
- A Sony DSLR-A850 or A900 uncompressed RAW lost its shadows: everything under an eighth of white went black.
- A DNG older than version 1.1, from a YI action camera among others, showed a tile of noise.
- A picture drawn on the graphics card could wait for ever when the card lost the request, with the app idle and stuck. It gives up after two minutes and says why.
- With the API's port already taken, Settings said the API was on, and an app without a window ran with no way in. It now says the port is taken. Running without a window
Workflows as files, and a folder for your scripts
New features
- **Settings → Workflows → Export…** and **Import…**: a workflow goes to another machine, or another photographer, as one file, with the connections and profiles its steps use and no password, token or key in it. Import adds it beside what is there and says what to fill in before it runs. Sharing a workflow
- **Help → Scripts Folder** opens a folder with the SDK that belongs to this app, ready for your scripts, and **Help → Script Collection…** opens ready-made scripts and workflows on photosuite.flogvit.com, where you can share your own. The TypeScript SDK
Polish
- **Auto** reads a picture the way a colourist reads the scopes: it places the brightest real detail high without clipping it and leaves lamps, the sun and LED lights out, keeps faces in the skin band of a waveform and lifts them with Lift when they fall below it, sets the black point, and takes out a colour cast both the shadows and the highlights show. The **Live event** template develops each picture with it. Back to as shot
- A workflow that levels pictures nobody looks at straightens about twice as many: it also answers when the level and upright lines agree within 0.3°. Straighten
Bug fixes
- The SDK is one file to download from photosuite.flogvit.com; the documentation told you to install it from npm, where it is not. A script that only calls the app now ends when it is done, instead of waiting for events. The TypeScript SDK
Version 0.1.2952#
+ People's skin: stubble stays face skin, and skin between strands of hair
Polish
- + People's face skin keeps stubble and a shadowed jaw that are no beard; only what the beard model sees as a beard is taken out. Body skin takes in a shoulder seen between strands of hair and a hand in shadow. People
- The **Live event** template develops every picture with a look that comes with photosuite, **Indoor pool**, made from a photographer's own edits of a swim meet: nothing to set before the day. Another preset can still be chosen in the workflow's Develop step. A meet shown live
- A workflow that levels pictures nobody looks at turns one only when its level and upright lines agree, and never more than 3°; otherwise it leaves the picture as shot. Straighten
Version 0.1.2939#
Lightroom's colours, a watch on running workflows, and an exposure aid with no lag
New features
- **Profile** at the top of Develop's Color section: a picture can have a profile of its own, Photosuite or one of Adobe's for the camera (Adobe Color, Adobe Vivid, Camera Standard and the others Lightroom lists) where Lightroom or Camera Raw is installed. Camera profiles
- **Settings → General → Use Lightroom's settings**. Off, pictures edited in Lightroom start from photosuite's own develop and crop; Lightroom's settings stay in the files untouched and come back when it is on again. Start over without Lightroom's settings
- **Settings → Workflow → Watch with Claude**: a workflow left running at an event is watched while it runs. Rules say at once when nothing is delivered while pictures arrive, a step keeps failing, uploads wait or the disk fills; Claude, on your own key, looks at what was delivered at set times. What it finds shows in the info bar and as a notification. Watch a running workflow
- **View → Overlays → Composition Guide** (<Key>Shift</Key>+<Key>O</Key>): thirds, the golden ratio, diagonals, golden triangles, the golden spiral or a fine grid over the picture while you look and edit, not only in the crop tool. <Key>Alt</Key>+<Key>O</Key> turns the triangles and the spiral to another corner. Composition guide
- **Live event: FTP → DxO → album** in **Settings → Workflow → From Template…**: pictures sent to an FTP server during an event are denoised, given your look for the venue, cropped around the subject the camera focused on, even a swimmer nobody else detects, levelled, and put in an album that sells them on eventphotos and shows them on the venue's TV. A meet shown live
Polish
- + and − for the exposure aid show on the next frame: the graphics card draws the aid, instead of every pixel being brightened again.
- Turning a picture in the crop tool fills the crop with fine lines that lean with it, so there is always one close to the horizon or wall you are standing up. Straighten
- Auto in the crop tool levels by the long straight lines in the picture. On 200 pictures a photographer straightened by hand it came within 1° of their angle on 54 %, against 26 % before, and it leaves a picture alone rather than tilting it. Straighten
- AutoCrop's **3:2/2:3** crops a frame the camera was held upright for 2:3, not a landscape strip out of it. A meet shown live
Bug fixes
- A picture edited in Lightroom came out more colourful than in Lightroom, a DxO PureRAW DNG most of all: photosuite drew it with its own profile where Lightroom uses Adobe's. It takes the profile Lightroom drew it with now. What you see in Develop
- Lightroom's Highlights came out about four times as strong as in Lightroom, so the brightest parts of an edited picture were too dark. It is carried at Lightroom's strength now. What you see in Develop
- The Level line in the crop tool turned the picture the wrong way.
- photosuite could use several processor cores while nobody touched it, with two large DxO DNGs side by side: it developed them in turn, over and over.
- With RAW view on, stopping on a picture after a few quick presses waited for the picture you had passed to finish developing first.
- Before/After could show the before side of another picture.
Version 0.1.2891#
+ People finds a beard, a white one too
Polish
- + People's facial hair comes from a beard model (146 MB, downloaded with the people model the first time a person is masked) and follows the picture's own edges. It finds a white goatee it used to call skin, and leaves less of a glow around the beard. People
Version 0.1.2884#
Workflows as files, the script collection and Help → Downloads…
New features
- **Settings → Workflows** has **Export…** and **Import…**: a workflow goes to another machine as one file, with the connections, IPTC templates and export profiles it uses. Passwords, a webhook's address and the work folder are left out; importing adds it beside what is there, writes over nothing, and says what to fill in before it runs. Sharing a workflow
- **Help → Downloads…** lists every model and data set the app can download (the masks', search by content, detection and place names) with what each gives and its size, and fetches the ones you tick ahead of use, before going out without a network for instance. It opens by itself on the first start and after an update that brings a new one. Installation
- **Help → Script Collection…** opens the ready-made scripts and workflows on the website, and **Help → Scripts Folder** puts the SDK and a README in the app's scripts folder and shows it, without touching the scripts you keep there. Script collection
Bug fixes
- A published album that changed every few seconds, as in a live delivery, went out only in a lull. It now syncs no later than a minute after the first change not yet sent. Keeping it up to date
Version 0.1.2868#
+ Landscape, a people model for clothes and beards, and a camera's look per picture style
New features
- **+ Landscape** masks the parts of a landscape you tick: sky, water, vegetation, mountains, architecture, natural ground and artificial ground. The first time, it downloads the landscape model (465 MB) and masks the picture when it is in. Landscape
- A RAW's look follows the picture style it was shot in for every brand, not only Sony: Canon Picture Style, Nikon Picture Control, Fujifilm film simulation, Panasonic Photo Style, OM System and Olympus picture mode, Pentax Custom Image and Samsung Picture Wizard. A style without a look of its own gets the camera's standard one, and a black-and-white picture no longer teaches the app a colour look. Camera profiles
Polish
- + People downloads a people model (819 MB) with the edge model the first time a person is masked. Clothes come from it, closer to their edges; a beard below the jaw line is found; the entire person leaves out what they carry, a guitar or a bag; and body skin leaves out a watch or a bracelet. People
- New looks for the Fujifilm X-A20, OM System OM-1 Mark II and OM-3 and Sony A7R III, each learned from 19 to 24 pictures. They come closer to the camera's own JPEG than the looks they replace, and the X-A20 had none. Camera profiles
- A look the app learns from your own pictures no longer turns soft backgrounds into bands of flat colour, and pictures the camera brightened or darkened on its own (an extended low ISO, a dynamic range mode) no longer stop it from learning one. Looks it learned before are learned again.
Bug fixes
- 30 cameras rendered their RAWs with no look at all since 0.1.2514, among them the Canon EOS R5 Mark II and R7, Nikon D700, Olympus E-M1 Mark III and PEN-F, Panasonic GH5 and S1H, Fujifilm GFX 100 and Sony A9 II and ZV-E10 II. They have their looks again.
- OM System OM-1 Mark II RAWs shot at ISO 80 and 100 came out a stop too bright. They develop at the camera's own exposure now.
Version 0.1.2843#
Develop's switch reads Preview | RAW, and JPG means JPEG
Polish
- Develop's switch between the camera's own preview and photosuite's development of the RAW reads **Preview | RAW** (it said JPG | RAW, which looked like the camera's RAW+JPEG setting). Settings calls it **Show: Camera preview / Developed from RAW**, and the shortcut V has the same name. RAW or the camera's JPEG
- + People's iris follows the picture's own edges, like skin and clothes. People
Bug fixes
- The JPG filter showed videos, PNG, TIFF and HEIC files as well, everything that was not RAW. It shows JPEG files now, and Select by Criteria has **Other Pictures Only** for PNG, TIFF, HEIC and the rest. Filtering
Version 0.1.2838#
Deleted pictures leave the cache, and one Flickr set per album
Polish
- + People's face skin, body skin and clothes follow the picture's own edges, with less of a soft rim around them. People
Bug fixes
- A picture moved to the Trash, moved to another folder or deleted in Finder kept its thumbnail and preview in the folder's cache until the whole folder's cache was cleared. They go with the picture now, and a folder that still holds them for pictures deleted earlier lets them go the next time it is opened. Performance
- Publishing an album to a Flickr set that did not exist yet could make two sets with the same name, each holding some of the pictures. The set is made once. Publish an album
Version 0.1.2831#
A crop straightened in Lightroom is cut as Lightroom cuts it
Bug fixes
- A crop straightened in Lightroom showed turned the wrong way and cut at the wrong size. It is cut as Lightroom cuts it now, and a crop straightened in photosuite shows the same in Lightroom.
Version 0.1.2823#
Lightroom's edits inside a DNG or JPEG, and the chair is background
Polish
- + Background takes the chair someone sits on, as Lightroom's Select Background does: when the subject is people, only the people stay subject. Subject and sky
Bug fixes
- A DNG or JPEG edited in Lightroom after photosuite had written its sidecar (a star, a flag) showed none of Lightroom's edits. Lightroom keeps those files' settings inside the file, and photosuite now reads them there, also when Lightroom changes them later. Changed it in Lightroom afterwards?
Version 0.1.2804#
Copy pictures as files, search by what is in the picture, and new ways through bursts
New features
- Edit → Copy puts the selected pictures on the clipboard as files, or the one on screen when nothing is selected, each with its sidecar and voice note, to paste in Finder, Explorer or a mail. Drag and Drop
- Search the library by what is in the pictures, in plain words and your own language, with no keywords written in them: **Search by Content…** in the Library view downloads the content model once (about 230 MB), and the library reads its pictures in the background. Right-click → **Find Similar in Library** shows the pictures that look like one. Search by what is in the picture
- **Landscape** in the info bar (Alt+H) reads sharpness over the whole frame, so a soft corner or a soft distance pulls the score down, and the focus box shows the weakest part. Sharpness Analysis
- **People** in the info bar (Alt+N) outlines each person with how sharp they are beside the others, with their number when Identify read it, and the sidebar says which is sharpest. A race gallery and an eventphotos album can leave a runner out of their gallery where they are soft. Sharpness Analysis
- **Bursts** in the info bar holds three ways of working through bursts, each off until you turn it on: split a burst where the race number, camera or lens changes; show the burst's pick and how far ahead it is; and go through the bursts one by one, settling each with one key and one undo. Working through bursts
Bug fixes
- Highlights in a mask works on a dim picture's own bright parts, as Highlights on the whole picture has done since 0.1.2783. Before, a Highlights brush on a dark picture did almost nothing, and a mask over the whole picture gave another result than the same slider on the picture. What a mask does
- The folder tree waited for a sleeping disk before it counted anything else, so a DxO/ folder a denoise batch had just made showed no count.
Version 0.1.2792#
Windows: an icon on the desktop, a menu bar, and shortcuts with Ctrl
New features
- On Windows, the installer puts FLOGVIT.photosuite on the desktop with its icon, and the app's own icon is in culling.exe, so Explorer and the taskbar show it instead of Windows' blank program icon. Installation
Polish
- On Windows, every shortcut the app shows is written the Windows way: Ctrl+O, Ctrl+Shift+L and Alt+Left, not Cmd+O or ⇧⌘L. The start screen, menus, tooltips and Settings show the key that is bound, also one you changed, and Ctrl+O typed in a key field on Windows is the same shortcut as the default. Customization
- + People's face skin takes in a stubbled chin in the dark and leaves out a grey or white beard and a bald crown, and the iris is found where it is when the eye looks to the side. People
Bug fixes
- On Windows, the app had no menu bar. It is on the window now, in the app's dark or light theme, with the shortcuts at the right.
- Find & Replace… in the menu showed as "Find Replace…".

Masks for every part of a person, the sky to the horizon, and What's New
New features
- Help → What's New… shows what changed in each version. When an update is ready, What's new in the info bar shows what it brings before you install it, and after an update the app shows once what came in it. What's New
- + Sky masks the sky down to the horizon with a sky model, taking clouds in and leaving trees and buildings out. The model (176 MB) is downloaded the first time you press + Sky. Subject and sky
- + People finds eyes, irises, brows, lips, teeth, hair, face skin, body skin and clothes with models that come with the app, and lays eyes, irises, teeth, lips and hair on the picture's own edges with a model downloaded the first time (455 MB). People
- + Object masks one thing you point out: paint roughly over it with the brush, and when you let go the mask becomes its outline. It uses the edge model + People downloads (455 MB). Objects
- + Background masks everything but the subject, at the subject model's own edges. Subject and sky
- + People can also mask the entire person. People
Polish
- Clothes leave out what a person holds: a ball, a racket, a bottle or a phone.
- Face skin leaves out a beard and the neck and takes in the ears, and a person lying down, a baby on its side, gets face and body skin the right way round.
Bug fixes
- The clipping display, zebra stripes, focus peaking and the other overlays follow the picture through a develop edit. After +3 EV, the clipping display still showed what the first render had clipped, not the sky the new one blew out. Visualization Tools
- On Windows, Sign in with FLOGVIT opened a page that said the link did not come from the app, and the license dialog showed Contacting server… for up to 15 minutes with Activate greyed out. The page now gets the whole link, and while your browser is open the dialog says it is waiting, with Open the page again and Cancel; Activate works meanwhile. Google Drive sign-in on Windows had the same fault and works too. Activate the app
- AI masks Lightroom stored without a mask size are imported. Before, the import dropped them. What you see in Develop
